Our Dogs...(why we do what we do.)

It's not all about obedience!

Whether through dog sports or a game of fetch at the beach, we thoroughly enjoy keeping our own dogs thinking and active.

Physical exercise and mental stimulation are essentials in creating a well-balanced dog while discovering what motivates (and demotivates) your dog is an important part of  improving your relationship.

Clear communication will help you to become a better trainer and leader for your dog. Having fun in the process will keep you and your dog healthy and happy for years to come!

Consider Rally-Obedience, Agility, Weight Pull, Tracking, Disc Dog, Dock Jumping, Flyball and more to fulfill your dog's needs and some of your own as well!

In the Spotlight!

Meet the FFD 'Dog Pack' - Coming Soon!

Tucker, TT

Tucker was a shelter dog in need of a home because 'he got too big' for his previous family. He came to us as a resource guarder, but learned to share with us and his canine family. Tuck was a Frisbee fanatic and a dock jump extraordinaire who was always ready for an adventure!

We lost Tuck to Mast Cell Disease on May 1st, 2010. Sleep soundly, Tuck - you will forever be missed.

Once in a Blue Moon's Bonechina 'Brina'

Brina at the MSPCA at Nevins Farm's National Pit Bull Awareness Day, Oct 2010 ARCH Brina, CGC, RL1X-2, AOE-RL2X-2, RN, TT, RL3, UWP, AOE-RLV, RO1

Born in Belgium, Brina was imported to the United States by a New England breeder to be shown on the ring. Unfortunately, she sustained an injury as a puppy that prevented her from continuing her family's legacy in the show ring - that's where we came in!

Today Brina loves Rally-O, Weight Pull, Agility, Tracking, Swimming and playing a serious game of Tug. Brina is a tough little competitor with a heart of gold. She remains true to her breed with an unwavering affection for human companionship!

Once in a Bluemoon American Staffordshire Terriers  CH. Truan's Nutcracker X Blueberry Rebels Zeta

Maverick, RL1

Mavy was a lucky pup when he was transferred from a high-kill shelter in Indiana to a shelter in Maine. When he and his litter mates arrived in Maine they underwent treatment for ringworm, which required them to be isolated from other dogs and people for a period of time. Once he recovered he promptly stole our hearts and the rest is history.

Today Mav is a loving and affectionate puppy with a zest for life and an intense urge to please.

Deucey-B, TT

Deuce was seized by State Animal Welfare Agents from a puppy mill due to the horrendous conditions at her kennel. Used as a breeding female for years, Deuce has now learned to enjoy her youth. Today Deucey is a loving dog with a tremendous sense of humor! Reserved with strangers, but open to forming new relationships, Deucey-B has come a long way from her kennel days. She is our 'sunshine pup'!
